Final Day of Placement

As I was leaving placement today, i thought the best way to go was to buy some presents for people or basically things for them to eat during the day.

So i bought some pies, some cakes and also stuck a fish behind the fridge. Not Really.

But overall I have really enjoyed this placement and really really like the attitude of the company. Reading on their website, it states that they are working for blue chip companies. To be able to do this, the quality of work has to be exceptional, and it is. From the design work done by the designers on the high chairs to the eventual coding done by the devs in the hottest room in the building, the standard of work is high.

A company like this deserves all the success they can get, especially as its original founders are still here and are the backbone of this company.

Anywho, this is the last day i get to sit in the office drinking tea and doing some work.

Coffee Coffee Tea, Remember How To Make It – Placement Day 4

What is this, I asked for two sugars, not three

Four days into the 6 weeks of placementising and I am starting to settle. I have finally summounded the courage to easily ask other members of staff if they would like a brew, a sort of Peter Kay style phrase, without feeling like my neck is going to be bit off. To summarise that paragraph, I am very confident in my hot drink making abilities, and if my course was based on how I would make hot drinks, then I would have passed with a first.

However, it’s all about web design here, so an update on what has been going on today. Some creating of more email web flyers to be sent out to customers with a deadline for tomorrow, sadly a day I am not here as I am happilly going out and spending four days in a field drinking cider. BACK to talking about web design today and all that.

Thomas the Tank, and Winston Churchill

It does seem to be an interesting time here at Refreshed with other projects taking life and finding out that the websites that are created here are rather ahead of the competition. Utilizing AJAX, asp.net among others to try and create really useful websites. (that sounded like a ripoff of what the fat controller says to Thomas the Tank but thats not true).

Refreshed do seem to have an ace up their sleeve in their online marketing department something that every company should be fulfilling to achieve. Anyways, back on with it.

This week has flown by and I am really looking forward to some new challenges next week so that idea has fueled me with with enthusiasm for when I return.
